Client
A listed energy equipment manufacturing and services company, with over 70,000 employees, headquartered in the United States. The company has a diversified business portfolio, and is a leading enterprise in the industry.
Challenge
Learning content was spread across multiple business lines, sourced from different contributors, and maintained in disparate formats. With no consistent approach to content management, SMEs and instructors were creating and updating materials independently, resulting in duplication, inconsistent information, and limited control over which content was current and relevant.
The client needed to bring structure and consistency to this fragmented content landscape while migrating materials into a cloud-based Learning Content Management System (LCMS). This required a dedicated team to review, curate, update, and organize content in collaboration with SMEs and instructors across business lines, while maintaining quality and turnaround times at scale.
Mediant Labs Approach
Mediant Labs established and manages a 10-member dedicated Learning Content Operations team that works as an extension of the client’s learning organization.
The team processes approximately 5,000–6,000 units of learning content per month, covering content across multiple business units. Beyond content transfer, the team members also make instructional design decisions around content flow, structure, and organization to ensure the content works effectively for the intended learning experience.
Mediant Labs provides the project management layer and a single point of contact for the client while managing the day-to-day coordination, delivery and performance of the team. The engagement operates against defined SLAs, providing clear expectations around turnaround and delivery.
The team also utilizes AI-enabled tools to improve productivity, particularly in areas where repetitive content-related activities can be accelerated, while keeping human review and instructional judgment as part of the process.
